Nigeria Veteran Entertainer, Charles Oputa who is popularly known as Charlyboy, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai – Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT and many more will be speaking at 2017 Edition of Social Media Conference 2017 which is schedule to hold in Abuja, 8th April 2017 at Sheraton Hotel.

There are more people suffering in Nigeria today than any time in our nation’s history; more than 100 million Nigerians are living below poverty level; 90 million Nigerians have no access to electricity; 78 million are fighting the scourge of unemployment; and 13 million children are out of school, mostly girls.

Government alone cannot solve these problems. As a generation with access to more means of information-incredible opportunities-and endless possibilities than generations before; history beacons on all us to unite in common effort and rebuild our country.

Instead of using Social Media as a wedge for division or a tool for spreading false information and posting nude pictures; this generation-our generation can leverage on the possibilities of Social Media to transform the landscape of poverty. This year’ conference is centered on how Social Media can be used as ‘A Tool For National Transformation.’

The one day conference, also features the official unveiling of I AM NIGERIA Awards and insightful discussions from Politicians, Policy Makers, Social Entrepreneurs, Community Organizers, Media Personalities and Business Executives.

    Date: 8th April, 2017

    Venue: Sheraton Hotel, Abuja

    Time: 9:00am prompt.
