About Us

Welcome!

Venussbay.com is an online square promoting cultural and creative industries in Nigeria – just what you need to easily connect with your crowd. Upload your works, events and services for free, on our platform. Follow us, get noticed across social media platforms.

Who we are: Nicknamed V-Bay, Venussbay is a creativity hub that links Nigeria’s cultural and creative sector with technology. We acknowledge creativity to be that all-encompassing ability to imagine and produce artistic expressions, goods and services; crude or sophisticated. The cultural and creative industry thus for us is the world where the production of cultural and creative goods and services for social cohesion and economic benefits, is made possible.

At Venussbay, we seek to add value to the work of artisans and craft workers by providing the platform that enables them to directly upload, showcase, buy or sell products, goods and services related to the field of culture:, arts, music, dance, drama, crafts, fairs, photography, books, food, festivals, sites and monuments, fashion/graphic/interior designs, architecture, games, audio visuals etc. Our categories are:

  1. Visual Arts
  2. Performing Arts
  3. Tourism
  4. Cuisine
  5. Fashion
  6. Technology
  7. Events

We included Tech (technology) as one of the categories because the world is driven by information and technology (ICT) which bridges the distance between peoples by enabling the smooth and easy transfer of services, access to information and knowledge, from one end of the globe to the other.

Venussbay is proudly Nigerian and promotes the products and services of Nigerians, and made in Nigeria products. We will as much as possible showcase products and services uploaded on the site across our new media platforms:

Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Blogger, Instagram, for additional visibility.

Our Mission is to:

(1) Provide access and online presence to creatives in the cultural industry.

(2) Bridge the gap between culture, creativity and technology, with a view to contributing to some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

(3) Provide spaces for networking across borders.

(4) Promote the culture sector as an avenue for diversifying the Nigerian economy.

What we do: We work with cultural managers, entrepreneurs, and social media personalities in the organisation and planning of book fairs, shopping fairs, fashion shows and fashion weeks, business of fashion  seminars, concerts, business mentoring programmes for startups and creatives, social media meetups and campaigns, capacity building of girls in  ICTs, festivals, plays, open mics, award nights and art exhibitions.
